Lustred Free

The free Lucha is the Mexican Catch. The style of lustred free is based on its with dimensions air and spectacular, contrary to the other styles of wrestling which stress the power and violence.

Rules

A combat of lustred free can oppose two luchadores or many teams of 2,3,4 or 5. In general a match proceeds into three fallen, or caidas. One can gain by carrying out one fallen either by rivetting the shoulders from the adversary during approximately 3 seconds, or by tender. With the difference in American wrestling the subjecting himself fighter does not type on the ground but agitates the hand or goes verbally. The disqualifications are quasi non-existent indeed lustred some free. Also, the calculation outside is 20 seconds instead of the 10 usual ones.

At the time of a match of lustred free by team, to leave the boxing ring authorizes a change of partner. This rule is very important in the direction where it allows very fast and spectacular sequences.

Specificities

Lustred free appears particularly spectacular, in particular with catches like the Hurracanrana, the Pescado or of the jumps towards the outside of the boxing ring. The combat are very fast and less violent one, in particular with the CMLL compared to those of American wrestling in particular the WWE. To Mexico the fighters, according to the tradition, must carry a mask and/or to have the long hair. During their career they fight in matches where the winner carries the mask of the loser. Many fighters lose their mask in their career, often at the time of their last match, with the help of a " prime" important because the mask represents a little the " vie" of a luchador, it has a very particular importance and is anchored in the old traditions. These matches is often rather brutal, the two fighters trying each one to literally tear off the mask of the other, these matches are the rare ones in Mexico where the fighters bleed rather regularly.

The system heel/face in lustred free is rather different in the direction where the appreciated fighter ( tecnico ) is that which fights with the most technique whereas its opposite ( rudo ) is more violent. Contrary to American wrestling where it is just a question of being done appreciated or to be made hoot by crowd by her attitude and not its capacities. Indeed, of the American technical all-in wrestlers were often heels, and of the brawlers often faces (example: " Stone Cold" Steve Austin).

Federations

There exist two dominant federations of wrestling in Mexico:

CMLL

It is the oldest federation of wrestling in the world known to date. Created in 1933 under the name of EMLL (Free Mexicana of Lucha Hastened). It is also most popular of the Mexican federations, with many grosses stars like Mistico, L.A Park, Hector Garza, Ultimo Guerrero.

AAA

Asistencia Asesoría Administración was created there in 1992 by old a booker of the CMLL, Antonio Peña (1948-2006). Many a luchadors of the CMLL such as Konnan or Eddie Guerrero followed Peña and makes famous promotion in a style which wants to be more anchored in modernity of the Nineties. The Tecnicos combat against Rudos as well as the combat with 2 victories are emphasized to leave room to a folklore of the “American” type (presentation, gimmicks, combat 1 against 1 etc…). The AAA carried a blow to the hegemony of the CMLL on Lustred Free, with official receptions in stages with counter closed for the large events like Triplemania and the Guerra de Titanes , and attracting with it a younger public.

Art

Lustred free made party integral of the Mexican popular culture. Many films were carried out on the subject and/or with like high-speed motorboat the fighters of their times like Blue Demon and Santo. In France, François Reichenbach carried out in 1981 a documentary free heading Lucha . From one duration of 45mn, one can see figures there known such as Enrique Llanes (former fighter, commentator TV for boxing, baseball and lustred it free), Los Villanos I II III, Aja Kong etc… Documentary neat at the slow rate/rhythm, told with humor, far from the stereotypes that wrestling can convey nowadays and which presents various facets of the Mexican popular culture: strong bond enters lustred free and political/religion/social.
