Lur
The Lur or Lure is a Musical instrument with Scandinavian wind, it exists two types about it: Lur of wood (of the the Middle Ages) and Lur bronzes some (Bronze Age). It goes back to approximately 14 centuries before Jesus-Christ and measurement between 1 and 2,5 meters. Its form is relatively close to the Trombone, it does not have there a hole to stop to play of this instrument. Lur is S-shaped and ends in a decorated disc. The lur is used at warlike ends, it is used for gathering the troops and frightening the enemy.
Origins
One finds Lur name in the Icelandic Sagas. At the time of the Ragnarök, Heimdall, guard of Bifröst, breath in its lur (Gjallarhorn) to call men and Gods with the combat. At the time of excavations, Lurs are often found per pairs. More than one about fifty bronze Lurs were found in Sweden, Denmark, Norway and Germany.
