Luoyang

Luoyang , or Loyang (洛阳; Pinyin: Luòyáng) is a city of the province Henan in China. One speaks the Dialecte there about Luoyang of the Mandarin zhongyuan. It is located near the Huang He (Yellow Fleuve).

History

It was on several occasions capital of old China: under the Eastern Zhou (-771 with -256), the Eastern Han (25 - 220), the Kingdom of Wei (220 - 265, period of the Three Kingdoms), the Jin Western (265 - 316) and the Wei of North (494 - 534; the dynasty was founded in 386 but had initially its capital with Datong). Under the Sui (581 - 618) and the Tang (618 - 907), it was capital secondary at the sides of Chang' year, current the Xi' year. The emperor Daizong, would be flees in Luoyang in 763 to escape an army from riders Tibetans which invades the Chinese capital of Chang' year under the reign of Trisong Detsen, 38e king from the Tibet (740 - 797).

The first Buddhist establishment of China, the Baimasi or temple of the white Horse was established there in 68 by Mingdi of Han. The oldest versions of Sûtra S of the Buddhism mahāyāna to be to us parvenu are the Chinese translations that the monk kouchan Lokaksema made between 178 and 189 with Luoyang, in particular the Pratyutpanna Sûtra which introduces the Buddha Amitabha and the Prajñāpāramitā Sûtra from where are drawn the Sûtra from the Heart and the Sûtra of Diamond .

The town of Luoyang, capital of the China in 192, was considered impregnable. To protect it, a gigantic door was built with the only possible passage: this entry bears the name of Hu Lao .

According to the legend, the Pivoine S were banished of Chang' year in Luoyang towards 700 by the pressing empress Wu Zetian to have refused to flower on its order one harms of winter, and became since the emblem of Luoyang.

In 2005, total GDP was of 111,2 billion Yuan S, and the GDP per capita of: 17383 yuans.

  • the county of Luanchuan - 栾川县 Luánchuān Xiàn   ;
  • the county of Song - 嵩县 Sōng Xiàn   ;
  • the county of Ruyang - 汝阳县 Rǔyáng Xiàn   ;
  • the county of Yiyang - 宜阳县 Yíyáng Xiàn   ;
  • the county of Luoning - 洛宁县 Luòníng Xiàn   ;
  • the county of Yichuan - 伊川县 Yīchuān Xiàn .
