Luminous intensity

In photometry, l' luminous intensity is a measurement of the glare perceived by the human eye of a source of light. The unit IF of the luminous intensity is the Candela (symbol Cd).

The human eye is sensitive only at one small portion of the electromagnetic Specter (the visible field) and does not have the same sensitivity to different the wavelengths to which it is sensitive.
