Lumbar plexus
The lumbar plexus (or plexus lombal ) is consisted of the meeting of the lumbar spinaux Nerfs L1, L2, L3 and L4, intended for the abdominal wall, the Genitals and the Lower extremities.
Collateral branches
Muscular branches for:
- square Muscle of the lombes
- Small psoas
- Large psoas
- Intertransverse lumbar
Terminal sections
- Nerve ilio-hypogastric (mixed nerve resulting from L1)
- Nerve ilio-inguinal (sensory nerve resulting from L1)
- genito-femoral Nerve (mixed nerve resulting from L1 and L2)
- side cutaneous Nerve of the thigh (sensory nerve resulting from L2 and L3)
- obturating Nerve (mixed nerve resulting from L2, L3 and L4)
- femoral Nerve (mixed nerve resulting from L2, L3 and L4)
