Lulach Ier of Scotland
Lulach Ier known as Lulach Insane the (born in 1023 - died the March 17th 1058 with Essie, Strathbogie) was a king d' Écosse, whose reign, at the 11th century, was extremely short. It succeeded his father-in-law Macbeth Ier the August 15th 1057, after this one had been killed by the future king Malcolm III '' Canmore ''. It itself was killed with the combat against this same Malcolm III less than one year later.
Lulach Ier was the son of Gillacomgain, Mormaer of Moray of 1029 with 1032, grandson of Maelbrigte de Moray, and by its mother Gruoch girl of Boide also great-grandson of the king Kenneth III of Scotland.
Of his Finnghuala wife, the girl of Sinhill, mormaer of Angus, it leaves two children:
- a son named Maelsnectan, Mormaer of Moray of 1058 with 1078, which dies in 1085 after being withdrawn in a monastery;
- a girl marries Aedh, which will succeed his/her brother-in-law in the load of mormaer of Moray in 1078
