Luigi Pirandello
Luigi Pirandello is a writer Italy N, Poète and Dramaturge, born the June 28th 1867 with Agrigente and died in Rome the December 10th 1936. Prize winner of the Nobel Prize of literature in 1934.
Biography
Doctor of the university of Bonn, then professor of Italian literature in Rome, it publishes news, named Nouvelles for one year (fifteen volumes). He finds his characters among the humble peasants and the lower middle class in Sicily or in Rome. In 1891, it supports a thesis of Philologie at the University of Market.In 1902, it gives up poetry and publishes its test on Humor in 1908. Meanwhile, he had to some extent prevented of his metaphysical anguish, by publishing a volume of tales When I was insane . His wife was of a morbid jealousy, in particular when Pirandello professed in a college of young girls. Nino Franck poses the following interrogation to us: “Which was born initially, of egg or hen? Did Pirandello become Pirandello because his wife was insane, or vice versa? It does not matter per hour that it is. What is essential, it is that this family case conditions from now on the inspiration of the writer”.
Luigi Pirandello is the author of poetries and news, but it is especially known for its plays, in particular Six characters in search of author (1921). It is Benjamin Crémieux which reveals it with the public of Paris while making play its more important parts and by translating them, helped by his wife Marie-Anne de Comnène.
