Luigi Cremona

Luigi Cremona , (Pavia, December 7th 1830 - Rome, June 10th 1903), is a mathematician and Italian politician.

Its reputation is built mainly on its Introduzione AD una teoria geometrica delle curve piane -- Introduction of a geometrical theory of the plane curves . It notably enriched our knowledge by the algebraic Courbes and the algebraic surfaces. Luigi Cremona became foreign member of the Royal Society the April 3rd 1879.

It also gave its name to the Diagramme of Cremona used in Statique graph to determine the efforts in a triangulated structure.
