Luigi Bertelli

Luigi Bertelli (Florence, March 19th 1858 - November 27th 1920), writer and Italian Journalist .

He used the Pen name Vamba to write the account of the adventures of Jean the Gust of wind (original Name Italian: Gian Burrasca ), also named Giannino Furioso in certain Frenchwoman translations.

Biography

Bibliophile impassioned, in love with the studies, he was an effective educational journalist. He wrote texts in prose and poetry for the children.

He founded in 1906 He giornalino beyond domenica ( the Sunday newspaper ), which continued to be published until in 1924.

In this magazine for youth appeared the signatures of several of the Italian great writers of the time (Giovanni Pascoli, Gabriele d' Annunzio, Grazia Deledda, Edmondo De Amicis) like those of the most refined illustrators (Umberto Brunelleschi and Filiberto Scarpelli).

It is also on the pages of this magazine that appeared the 55 episodes of the Journal of Jean the Gust of wind (original Title: It giornalino di Gianburrasca ) - between on February 7th 1907 and on May 17th 1908.

Bertelli died on November 27th 1920. It is buried with the cemetery San Miniato, with Florence.
