Luhanka

Luhanka is a municipality center-south of the Finland, in the area of Finland-Power station. It is the least populated commune area

1/3 of its surface is covered by the lakes, and in particular by the Päijänne. The small village is located on bank is big lake. One can see an important neogothic church there of wood, contruite by Josef Stenbäck in 1893.

The commune, located at the variation of the main roads, is bordered by the municipalities of Kuhmoinen in south-west and Jämsä in the west (on other side of Päijänne), Korpilahti in north, Leivonmäki in the North-East, Joutsa in the east, and finally Hartola and Sysmä in south-east and the south, both in the Päijät-Häme.
