Ludwig Wittmack

Ludwig Wittmack is a German Botaniste , born the September 26th 1839 with Hamburg and dead the February 2nd 1929 with Berlin.

He studies the Botanique in the universities of Iéna (1864) and of Berlin (1865). He supports his thesis with Göttingen in 1867.

He becomes preserving then with the natural history museum of agriculture of Berlin. He receives his Habilitation in 1874. Wittmack teaches botany at the agricultural institute of Berlin of 1880 with 1913 (which it directs of 1910 to 1913) like at the school veterinary surgeon of 1880 with 1920. It also directs the experimental station Verband Deutscher Müller of 1875 to 1905.
