Ludwig Turek
Ludwig Turek (born the August 28th 1898 in Stendal; deceased the November 9th 1975 with Berlin) is a German writer.
Biographical note
Ludiwg Turek estné on August 28th 1898 like wire of metal worker in a very underprivileged medium. After its schooling, he exerted various trades like printer and lettror. During the First World War, it is called up for the military service, but deserted. He is then condemned to a sorrow of imprisonment in the fortress of Spandau . In 1918, Turek is prematurely released, thanks to the political disturbances caused by the rising of November, and is joined the communist movement. It was first of all very active within the Ligue Spartacus, before adhering to the German Communist party and facing up to political responsibilities.
Drift of Germany towards constrained national-socialisme Ludwig Turek to emigrate. It then remains in Soviet Union of 1930 with 1932 before going in France. He exerts then the trade of captain on a sailing ship. In 1940, Ludwig Turek returns to Germany and works in clandestinity. At the end of the Second world war, Ludwig Turek settled with East Berlin as independent writer, where he wrote many novels and scenarios of films. In German Democratic republic, Ludwig Turek was very known for its working novels and its books for youth.
Ludwig Turek was buried with the Zentralfriedhof Friedrichsfelde in 1975.

Honors
The name of Ludwig Turek was given to a Berliner school, a public library in the Treptow-Köpenick district of Berlin and to a street.
