Ludwig Suthaus
Ludwig Suthaus (born with Cologne the December 12th 1906 - died with Berlin - Western the September 9th 1971) was a Wagnerian Ténor German. It was the favorite singer of Wilhelm Furtwängler during the last years of its life. Suthaus recorded with him Tristan and Isolde (in 1952), the Ring of Nibelung - role of Siegfried - (in 1953) and the Valkyrie - role of Siegmund - (in 1954 - the last recording of the chief).
Ludwig Suthaus had a particularly clear, vigorous and sharp voice but which, in the moments of supreme effort, could rock in some cancannement. This side Donald Duck was compensated by an impeccable stressing and serious of every moment.
