Ludwig Beck (born the June 29th 1880 with Biebrich and deceased the July 20th 1944 with Berlin), is a German Militaire .

Biography

Born in the the Ruhr, he is educated in the military tradition Prussian. In 1933, it is affected at the general headquarter of which he becomes the owner two years later.

Beck was dissatisfied with the efforts of Adolf Hitler to frame the influence of the army by its troops S (Schutzstaffel). In addition it estimated that the territorial expansion of Reich went too much far when it invades the remainder of the Czechoslovakia. It gave its resignation to protest.

He lived with the retirement until in 1944, year when the conspirators wanting to kill Hitler asked him to take its succession. When the plot failed, it committed suicide rather than to undergo torture then the execution. According to the history, it was so nervous that it was still alive after he drew two balls in the head, and that he had to call upon a sergeant to complete it.
