Lucky loser

In the professional tournaments of Tennis, it is of use to invite a free Special, directly allowed in the final table in spite of its insufficient classification. It arrives however, often for questions of jet lag, that this reserved place is declined by its recipient. In the same way, there can be fixed prices of last minute among the players registered in the large table of the tournament in question.

This invitation (or Wild card ) become null and void, it is then allotted to a lucky loser .

This word, ever translated into French, means lucky loser literally or happy losing . Before the final stages, the local and/or badly classified players dispute qualifications indeed, generally in three turns. The lucky loser indicated best is then classified among those which gained at least two of their three matches qualifiers.
