Lucius Ier
Lucius 1st is the 22e Pape of the Catholic church, of 253 with 254. He is elected with died of Corneille but he is stopped quasi-immédiatement on order of the emperor Trébonien Galle and at once sent in exile. However, after the assassination of T. Galle, it returns to Rome because the new emperor, Valérien, are less hostile to the Christians. As it hostile with the return of is not repented the persecution of Dèce within the Church, it is him also the target of the Novatien S so much so that the bishop Cyprien of Carthage must take its defense. Lucius dies a few months later of natural death, in 254. It is buried in the Crypte of the Popes of the Catacombe of Saint-Calixte.
