Lucius Cornelius Cinna (death in 84 av. J. - C.), in favor of Marius is Consul without interruption of 87 av. J. - C. with 84 av. J. - C., and reigns by terror on Rome by its Proscriptions.
He wanted to make point out exile Caius Marius, in spite of his colleague Octavius, but the senate stripped it of its title and city drove out it. Furious, it collected an army, went on Rome accompanied by Marius, of Gnaeus Papirius Carbo and Sertorius, seized the city, assembled the people, made pronounce the recall of Marius solemnly and was the accomplice of his cruelties. He was killed in 84 av. J. - C., in a sedition, by his own soldiers. He had been consul four years of continuation (87-84), contrary to the law of spacing of the mandates. His/her daughter Cornelie Cinna will marry Jules César into 84, will give him into 83 her only legitimate child, her daughter Julia.
