Lucio Fulci

Lucio Fulci is an actor, realizer and scenario writer Italian, born the June 17th 1927 with Rome, and deceased the March 13rd 1996 with Rome (Italy).

Biography

After studies of medicine, he chooses a cinematographic career, working in a broad category of kinds in Italy. To the beginning of the year 1970, it is included in the category of the thriller S, carrying out Giallo which are at the same time business successes and sources of controversy in their representation of violence and the religion.

In 1979 it makes its international breakthrough with Zombi 2 , an excessively bloody film of zombie made to benefit from the popularity of Dawn off the Dead (1978), left in Europe under the name of Zombie . (This film is not connected to the series of films of George A. Romero). It continues with some traditional tales of horror and supernatural, number of them utilizing zombies, which are largely regarded as being among the bloodiest films ever made.
