Lucienne Delyle
Lucienne Delyle is a French singer born with Paris in 1917. She is first of all préparatrice in pharmacy. Impassioned by the French song of the Years 1930, it practices the song in amatrice under the name of Lucienne Delyne. In 1939, Jacques Canetti the remark at the time of a Radio-hook and engages it at once. In 1940, it meets the trumpet player of jazz and arranger Aimé Barelli who will become her husband and his best collaborator. From their union will be born a girl who will try a career in the song under the name of Minouche Barelli (1947 - 2004).
After the immense success of My lover of Midsummer's Day , recorded in 1942, Lucienne Delyle will be very popular during the years 1950. In 1953, Bruno Coquatrix calls upon it, like with the young person Gilbert Bécaud, for the reopening of the Olympia.
Its career declines at the end of the years 1950, because of a leukemia. Lucienne Delyle gives a last series in concerts, in company of her husband, on the scene of Bobino in November 1960. She dies out in May 1962 with Monte Carlo, Principality of Monaco.
She will have approached about all the kinds and all the styles, of the realistic song to the accordion music, while passing by the sentimental song, the song jazzy, sometimes tinted exotic influences. Its languorous voice, its hot stamp and its precise diction will influence in a decisive way the French song of variety.
