Lucien Outers

Lucien Outers (Barchon, on April 9th, 1924 - Brussels, on April 2nd, 1993) is a Belgian politician and a Walloon militant.

Doctor in right, he is the general secretary Walloon Rénovation and one of the founders of FDF. In 1985, he becomes acting general of the French Communauté of Belgium to Paris until 1988, station which Paul-Henry Gendebien will succeed to him.

In January 1980, like other ministers FDF, it is revoked of its post of minister of the foreign trade by King Baudouin, acting with the counter-signature of the Prime Minister Wilfried Martens, under the pressure of the CVP which then did not wish to see to affirm a third Area, the Région of Brussels-capital.

  • 1968 - 1985: Deputy of Brussels and Liege (1977-1978) for FDF - RW.

  • 1975 - 1976: President of the Parliament of the French Community.
  • 1977 - 1978: Burgomaster of Auderghem.
  • 1977 - 1979: Minister for the Development co-operation.
  • 1979 - 1980: Minister for the foreign trade.
  • 1983 - 1984: President of FDF.
