Lucien Magne
Lucien Magne (born in Paris in 1849 - died in 1916) is a French architect specialized in the religious buildings. He took a big part with the completion of the Basilique of the Sacred Heart of Montmartre with died of Paul Abadie (1884). He created the museum of the stained glass of the Trocadéro.
Wire of the architect of the town of Paris Auguste-Joseph Magne (1816 - 1885), Lucien Magne studied with the 3Ecole Nationale Sup3erieure of the fine arts. He was architect of the Diocèse S of Autun (1877) and of Poitiers (1885). For this reason, it directed several restoration campaigns to Angers, of which those of the Logis Gripped, the Abbaye Saint-Serge of Angers and of the turn Saint-Aubin.
It restored several churches: Montmorency, Bougival, Taverny, and especially the Abbey of Fontevrault but also worked for private individuals.
Recognized artist, he was Inspecteur of the monuments of the Town of Paris, Architecte as a chief of the historic buildings, Member of the Commission of the Historic buildings (1896) and General inspector of the Historic buildings (1901). He taught with the 3Ecole Nationale Sup3erieure of the fine arts and the Conservatoire national of arts and trades.
