Portraitist, advertizing executive, painter, author, Lucien Lorelle côtoie and photograph all the large artists of his time of which Annabella, Marie Glory, Martine Carol, Dominique Wilms, Micheline Presle, Danièle Darrieux, Albert Préjean, Jean Cocteau, Gerard Philippe, Madeleine Robinson, Madeleine the Sologne, Serge Reggiani, Jean Marais, Michel Simon, Jean Gabin, Janine Grenet, Galabru and well of others.
It carries out the publicity campaigns of the Galeries Lafayette (with Cassandre), L'Oreal, Pernod, Perrier, Teppaz, Philips, Winston, countryside of the book, Cinzano, Chanel, Shell, and well of others still.
He is also the author of many surrealist photographic work and literary homages mixing texts, drawings and photographs.
Author of many works on photography which were translated into several languages of which German, English and Spanish, it will be also devoted to the teaching of photography.
Its other passions are painting, the writing and poetry.
Topicality
- Retrospective Exposure “Lucien Lorelle”, all the day Fridays and Saturdays from October 5th, 2007 to January 5th, 2008 with 23/25 rue du Gué in Rueil-Malmaison in the Hauts-de-Seine. Presentation of 50 photographs and documents covering its work of the years 1920 to 1960. The entry is free. It is sometimes open Tuesday, Wednesdays and Thursdays but it is to be better ensured some by sending an email (contact on the site Ci afterwards).

Biography
- 1927 : creation of the “Lorelle Studio” with his/her brother-in-law. The Czech photographer Jaroslav Rössler (1902-1990) there will work and there study photography, just as the German photographer Erna Wagner-Hehmke (1905 - 1992).

1935 : creation of the “Studio Lucien Lorelle”.

1946 : foundation of the “Group of the XV”.

1952 : it creates the first large photographic laboratory professional colors in France which will be taken again and directed by his/her daughter, Francoise Welsh, until 2003. The laboratory continues its adventure under the control of a great-grandson of Lucien Lorelle who knew to adapt the laboratory to the data-processing and numerical revolution.

1968 : Lucien Lorelle dies out, leaving a photographic work, many works treating of photography under his technical sides and artistic, of the tables, the drawings and the innumerable texts.
