Lucien Francoeur is a author, Poète, teacher and chronicler with the radio operator born September 9th 1948, with the Quebec. At fifteen years, it leaves the school and goes to New York where it remains a few months with Greenwich Village. It returns to Quebec for one moment and goes to the New-Orleans in 1969 where it finishes its secondary studies. It returns then to Montreal in 1970 to undertake studies in letters with the Cégep de Maisonneuve.

In the years '70, it gains life by being taxi driver. It meets Gaston Miron, which publishes its poems with the Hexagon. It is the time of the Minibrixtes Réactés . Francoor explores his americanity and testifies to his fascination for the transgression and the insanity of the big cities.

In the tread of some readings of poems in the marginal bars of Montreal, it meets Pierre Gauthier of Vérendrye, which is interested to put music rock'n'roll on the poetry of Francoeur. The group Aut' Chose was going to be born from this meeting. In 1974, Aut' thing signs at CBS. The first album is success, with traditional the Ch' loves you Pis Ch' Want you, Hey You Woman (a second reading inhabitant of Quebec of Michel Polnareff) and Freak of Montreal . The 2nd album, in 1975, contains its floppée of traditional: Nancy Beaudoin, Francoeur Ambulance, Like 'in Radio (a second reading of a title of Brigitte Fontaine), One Season in Hell and Blue Jean on the Beach (nostalgic wink with Gilles Rousseau, the singer of Hou-Lops, a Québécois pop group of the years '60). In fact, the album One Night As Another continues in the vein of the progressive rock'n'roll arranged by Pierre Gauthier of Vérendrye, which is not there any more for the American Nightmare , in 1976. Francoor must rebuild Aut' thing around the guitarist Jacques Racine.

After the dissolution of Aut' thing, Francoeur continues, in solo, but surrounded by new musicians, to give spectacles of poetry rock'n'roll to the Quebec, like with Paris, while continuing to publish books and to record discs. In 1977, Columbia publishes a compilation of the first 3 albums ( Chaud Like a Juke-box ), which is launched on the French market.

On the musical level of its step of poet rock'n'roll, in the line of Jim Morrison, the efforts in solo of Francoeur do not renew the magic of the first 3 albums of the group Aut' thing, in spite of some successes, artistic or commercial, like Nelligan , Rap-with-Billy or its participation in the project Café Rimbaud , in 1987, when its poem is put in music by various type-setters (Michel Rivard, Stephen Faulkner, Gerry Boulet and als.).

Francoor finds Gauthier and revival the group Aut' thing for the album In the jungle of the cities (2000), but the album, launched little time before the producer does not go bankrupt, has little impact. Reformed around young musicians of the scene heavy metal (of the members of Grim Skunk, Voivoid and als.) and of the veteran guitarist Jacques Root, the great return of Aut' thing occurs in 2005, on the scene of the Coffee Campus.

During these years less blazing on the musical level, some literary prizes come to greet its talent of writer as from the years '80.

As chronicler in the written media, Francoeur collaborates in the reviews Hobo-Quebec, Possibles, Liberté, Estuaire, Quebec-Rock'n'roll.

In the years “80, it starts to teach the Littérature with the Cégep de Rosemont. On the basis of of its reputation and its artistic production, it obtains a safe conduct towards a program of control. It takes down a control are arts with the Université of Quebec with Three-Rivers in 1984.

It becomes stimulating with CKOI Fm at the end of the years '80. It animates with the humorist Michel Barrette the emission of the return to the house.

From this union was born bright Virginia, in 1987, which could easily pass to be the small cousin of Nancy Beaudoin .
