Lucien Bonnafé

Lucien Bonnafé (1912 - 2003) is a Psychiatre French desalienist which worked out and set up the psychiatric policy of sector.

It consists in dealing with the patient in the geographical surface near to its residence and by the constitution to intermediate structures to ensure the continuity of the care allowing the maintenance out of the walls, which constitutes a total rupture with asylum. (He considers the official birth at 1958 but the first circular is of 1972).

Biography

1912 : Lucien Bonnafé was born with Figeac on October 15th, 1912. His/her father is doctor and his/her large father is mental specialist.
1930: It takes part in the group Surréaliste of Toulouse.
1934: For a participation in a demonstration prohibited antifascist he is condemned to 2 one-year suspended sentences.
1939-1944: With many other personalities the “group of Gévaudan”, it develops the bases the institutional Psychothérapie.
1949: Member with the French Communist party until his death it signs against his liking proclamation “the psychoanalysis, ideology reactionary”, expresses imposed by the direction of the PCF where it underlines however the “benefits of the lesson freudienne”.
1954: It partcipe with the review Social life and Traitements intended for the formations of the male nurses in psychiatry to support the current desalienist.
1959: The group of Sevres develops the bases of the policy of sector.
1961: By the publication of the 27 opinions on psychotherapy , the therapeutic role of the male nurse in psychiatry is underlined.
1975: In spite of its membership of the PCF, he denounces the repressive use of psychiatry by the Soviet State in full festival of Humanity.
1977: It takes its retirement. Then it takes part in a certain number of actions (in 1981 with Jack Ralite, Minister for Health), it publishes popular Psychiatrie , support the reform of the laws of 1838 by refusing specific laws for the mentally ills.
2000: The Lucien-Bonnafé Center of the Hospital of Corbeil-Essonnes is inaugurated in its presence.
2003: He dies on March 14th at 90 years.
