Lucie Valore is a woman painter.

Biography

Lucie Veau known under the name of Lucie Valore was born with Angouleme in 1878.

Whereas it is widowed of a Belgian industrialist, Robert Pauwels, it knows Suzanne Valadon, the mother of Maurice Utrillo which encourages their union. In 1935, she marries Maurice Utrillo with the church Sainte Ausonne of Angouleme. They lived two years in Angouleme right after their marriage, then they settle with the Vésinet.

She then plays a part in the management of finances of the couple and supervises it in order to avoid its relapse in alcoholism.

It is initiated with the painting, encouraged by her husband and his mother-in-law, and painted portraits, landscapes and died natures, in a fresh and relatively naive style, of which it sells a fabric to her merchant at the same time as each fabric of Utrillo.

She also wrote a book Francoise in Belgium
