Lucera ( Luciòr in local dialect) is a Italian city of the Province of Foggia in the area of the Pouilles.

Geography

Lucera is located at the intersection of the hills of Weakens and the buttress of Pouilles.

Monuments

Several monuments going back to varied historical times are there:

  • the Roman Amphitheater of Lucera
  • the Castle angevin
  • the Cathedral of the 13th century (built on the site of an old mosque)
