Lucas Janszoon Waghenaer
Lucas Janszoon Waghenaer , born in 1533 or 1534 with Enkhuizen and died in the same city in 1605 or 1606, was a sailor and Cartographe Dutch. He is the creator of several Carte maritime S and guides, of which most known is the Spieghel der Zeevaerdt . He collaborated with Jan Huygen van Linschoten, merchant and explorer originating in Enkhuizen, like him. Lucas Waghenaer also taught knowledge of the sea at a school of its birthplace.
