Luc Warnant

Luc Warnant born on April 30th 1956 is a draftsman, scenario writer Belgian of Cartoon.

Brief biography

Luc Warnant begins the data base as of his entry at the school of Saint-Luc graphics to Liege (Belgium) which it leaves after the first year. He works thereafter with the studio Edouard Aidans where he takes again the characters Pouf and Poil with the nose. Two boards of the draftsman appear in the Newspaper of Spirou in the shape of a freehand. Become the assistant of Andre Beckers and Mittéï, it at the time of taking again Gil Jourdan. Dupuis proposes to him to make its own character in the place of Jourdan. Thus it comes out from its bale with drawings Timothée Octave Wang previously created.

But it is while joining the scenario writer Tome that Warnant creates a character who will have a great success: SODA ( an Angel trespasses , 1986 and Lettres with Satan , 1987). It gives up its hero in the middle of the third album ( You will not butt ) passing the relay with Bruno Gazzotti to devote itself to publicity.

It creates and photographs its sculptures then is interested of close with the synthesized image which enables him to overcome the constraints of the data base which decided it to stop SODA. He becomes artistic director for a Luxembourg company. Currently, Warnant teaches modeling 3D and the sculpture with the High School Albert Jacquard of Namur (Belgium).
