Luc Guyau

Luc Guyau was born the June 21st 1948 with Thorigny (the Vendée). Patentee of agricultural professional studies, he is farmer in his native commune since 1970, exploiting in GAEC with his brother a farm of 120 ha to dominant dairy.

With the local plan, Luc Guyau initially was president of the departmental Center of the Young Farmers (1975 - 1978) then president of FDSEA of the Vendée (1984 - 1996).

Presidencies

He reaches then the presidency of CNJA (1982 - 1984), then he is elected president of FNSEA of 1992 with 2001 and chair COPA (Committee of the agricultural professional organizations of the European Union) of 1997 1999.

He chairs the Chambre of agriculture of the Vendée and the regional court of the Pays of the Loire since 1995, and he is administrator of the National bank of the Crédit Agricole since 1992.

Associated member of the general Standing Committee of the permanent Parliament of the Rooms of agriculture as from 1995, Luc Guyau reaches the presidency of this organization in 2001. For this reason, it represents the Rooms of agriculture to the Economic and Social Council (of which he is vice-president) and with the COPA. It also sits at the regional Economic and Social Council of the Countries of the Loire. He is vice chairman of the board of AgroParisTech

He is in addition member of the UMP.

Abuse of corporate asset

Already put in examination in 2004, Luc Guyau was returned into correctional on November 29th 2007 for " abuse of corporate asset, complicity and recel" with seven other people of the Ministry for Agriculture and cereal sector (16 million euros diverted between 1991 and 1999).
