Luc (Lozere)

Luc is a common French, located in the department of the Lozere and the area Languedoc-Roussillon. Its inhabitants is called Lucois.
Geography
History
In 1384, at the time where Bertrand of Guesclin dies in the foot of Châteauneuf-with-Randon, not far from there, English, strong troops of 2 000 men, besiege the castle of Luc.This boulevard of the Vivarais is released thanks to three heroic lords:
- the lord of Agrain,
- the lord of Polignac,
- the lord of Choisinet.
After an obstinate combat in the ground of the Hubacs, they gained a complete victory, with the sudden help of ten of most intrepid the gentilhommes of the surroundings.
To perpetuate the memory of it, these three lords placed at the top of the volcano Prasoncoupe-les-Ubas, three stones of granite, cut in disc, and on which their weapons are carved.
