Lubersac
Lubersac (in occitan the Limousin luparsat ) is a common French in the department of the Corrèze and the area the Limousin.
Its inhabitants are called Lubersacois. Certain inhabitants practice the Occitan there.

Communal blazon since July 11th 1983 “of mouth to the gold wolf passing”. This blasonnement, whose statement does not seem very in conformity with the heraldic uses, would be that, according to Malta-Brown, of one of the first lords of the city, named Louparsat (of the occitan the Limousin, lou parça, which means the bored wolf), lieutenant of the counts de Limoges, who “would have delivered the region of a wild wolf”.
Geography
Lubersac is located between Uzerche 14 km and Arnac-Pompadour 6 km and at about fifty kilometers of the towns of Tulle, Brive and Limoges, on plate X indented enough.

The city comprises a building classified historic building: the Saint-Etienne church. The House rebirth, which is used as tourist bureau, is also a notable building.
House rebirth
The House rebirth is located on the place of the clock, in full center of the borough. Known as house of the archpriests as of XIe century, its arcades and its carved frontage date from the Rebirth (end XVe century) and its work of Italian artists. The archpriests occupied it until in 1790. As of 1865, it sheltered the town hall. In 1881, one builds on his roof a pinnacle intended to receive the clock of the bell-tower of the old Saint-Hilaire church. Today, the House Rebirth accommodates in its two rooms of the ground floor the tourist office like “the House of Arts and the Taste” which proposes with its visitors of many products of the soil On the floor are held of the exposures.
Castle of Verdier
The Castle of Verdier is located at the exit of Lubersac, on the road of Pompadour. The park of the castle as three rooms are opened with the visits of the public. This castle was the first built on the mound of Verdier (XVe century), it remained in the family of Lubersac until in 1725; date to which the last heiress, Madam de Chasseneuil, will sell the field to Martial of Combe which will yield it about thirty years later to the family of Lubersac de Savignac. With the extinction of this branch, the field is bequeathed in 1830 to Ernest de Chabrignac. Saint-Hilaire church
The Saint-Hilaire church was built in XIIe century. It was behind the Renaissance house. In 1776, following a Storm during which the lightning will fall on the bell-tower, its state of decay will be such as one will prohibit it with the worship. The Revolution will transform it into place of assembly and it will end up being demolished. It will substistera only its Clocher which, already in bad condition, will collapse in 1879 at the time of violent a Tempête.
Saint-Etienne church
the Saint-Etienne Church was built towards 950, on the site of old a Temple, the first church was dedicated to Saint Gervais and Saint Protais. In XIIe century, the church priorale takes the name of Saint-Etienne. It will be plundered at the end of this century and will be rebuilt at the beginning of XIIIe. In XIVe century, the Nef is increased of two spans. The Saint-Etienne church will be classified historic building in 1910.
Outside, three of the four capitals which decorate the bedside illustrate the history of Saint-Etienne (lapidation, the discovery of the body and translation of the relics).
Inside, the series of historiés capitals date of the medium of XIIe century and recalls the cycle evangelic. One can quote among those: Annunciation, advertisement with the shepherds, the ride of the magi, nativity and worship of the magi, presentation with the temple, the escape in Egypt, Jesus in the middle of the doctors of the law. The two capitals of the crucifixion and the Deposition decorate the triumphal arch. The oldest capital dates, as for him, of XIe century; it represents a hunting for the bear.
The restoration undertaken of 1999 with 2001 made it possible to put at the day a painted decoration of a great richness. The restorers wanted to preserve a testimony of each century. Thus, the visitor can it read on the walls of the church his pictorial history. In the Vault southern, paintings are rather recent (XIXe and XXe). In the northern vault, the decoration discovered is XVIIIe and XXe. The northern brace of the transept offers taking into consideration very diverse decoration because different times:
- One of the Voûtain S carries a painting of XIVe.
- Two others are decorated of a decoration of XVe century while the painting of the fourth voûtain is XIXe.
- In the crossing of the Transept, the decoration of XVe and the reasons for XIXe (little angels) are harmonized perfectly.
On the under-surface of the arc which separates the transept crossing from the southern brace, follow one another of paintings of different times, until XIIIe century with a fresco representing Saint-Léonard releasing a prisoner. It is it the oldest decoration discovered to date in the church. In the chorus, four paintings gone back to 1841 and signed Puccini representing Holy Jerome, Holy Martial, Saint Pierre and Holy Hilaire.
Other work notable are present in this church:

Personalities related to the commune

Joseph Souham (° April 30th 1760 with Lubersac - † April 28th 1837 with Versailles), General of Empire. This last contributed to organize the French revolution in the town of Lubersac.
- Jean Nexon, former doctor of the city, which left its name to the football stadium of the city, in homage to the services which it rendered to the commune.
