Loya Jirga
The Loya Jirga (Large assembly or Great meeting in French), is a term of origin Pashto which designates an assembly convened in order to make the great decisions concerning the Afghan people .

Composition
In the beginning, its members were only the chiefs of tribe. But since, several public people could integrate it like members of Governmental organizations (ONG).With the March 31st 2002, Loya Jirga counts 1.551 members, including 160 seats reserved to the women especially.
Decision making
The decisions taken by Loya Jirga are it by consensus, it does not have there truly a vote which is carried out.
