Lower Manhattan
Lower Manhattan is the district more in the south of the island of Manhattan, one of the Borough S of New York, with the the United States of America. It is generally delimited by the street Chambers in North, North River (part of the course of the Hudson River) in the West, the East River in the East, and the South by Battery Park and the Upper New York Bay. Lower Manhattan, also called Financial District, includes Wall Street, City Hall, the Municipal Building, and the site of the World Trade Center Ground Zero. It is the fourth " Central business district " country after Midtown (Manhattan), the Loop (Chicago) and Washington; it was the third CBD before the Attentats of September 11th, 2001.
Points of interest
The district contains several historic sites and tourist, of which the Castle Clinton National Monument, the small park of Bowling Green where the Alexander Hamilton U.S. Custom House is, the Federal Hall, the Fraunces Tavern, the South Street Seaport, the Fulton Fish Market, the Woolworth Building and Trinity Church.
