Low-Burma

The expression Low-Burma indicates the part of the Burma annexed in 1852 by the English after the second war War anglo-Burmese, to which is added the old kingdom of Arakan and the territory of the Tenasserim, whose English had taken control in 1826. This area was also formerly called " Burma britannique".

Low-Burma has as a center Rangoun, the capital of Burma. It includes/understands all the coastal region of the country as well as the lower basin of the Irrawaddy, including the town of Prome.

Low-Burma is mainly inhabited by the Burmese itself, the Karen S and the My S.
