Love your father

Aime your father is French dramatic film carried out by Jacob Shepherd and left in 1999.

Synopsis

Léo Shepherd, famous writer, spring in motor bike on the roads of Europe towards Stockholm, where it must receive the Nobel Prize of Literature. In way, Paul, his son, comes to his meeting. The young man, who suffers from the désamour of his father, wants to congratulate it. Léo pushes back it. Then Paul continues Léo and kidnaps it.

Some share between the Alps and the Baltic, the father and the son clash violently.

When Virginia, the sister of Paul, finds them, their relations will be definitively modified.

The film is immediately perceived like a fictionalized version of the relationship between Gerard Depardieu and his Guillaume son. However the realizer, Jacob Shepherd, stated to be themselves especially inspired of the relations with his own father, the English writer John Berger.
