Love Parade
In a Right-angled triangle, the hypotenuse is the nonadjacent side with the right angle, or the side opposed to the right angle. In a right-angled triangle, the length of the hypotenuse equalizes the square Racine sum of the squares on the two other sides (this property comes from the Théorème of Pythagore). The hypotenuse thus has always a length higher than that of any on the two other sides, it is a Diamètre Cercle circumscribed with the triangle ABC.
Etymology
Hypoténuse comes from the Greek hupoteinousa : tightening itself under; the prefix hupo meaning under. The hypotenuse can be seen like a cord tended under the nonright angles of a Right-angled triangle.
