The territory of Louvie-Soubiron extends from the Vallée of Ossau to that of the Ouzom in the east. The two parts of the territory were connected by the way “of Ferrières”, crossing the collar of Louvie (1438 m).

Louvie comes from Latin and means remains of Lupinus , Soubiron comes from the Gascon sobiron = upstream, indeed the commune is above Louvie-Juzon.
History
In 1385, Louvie-Soubiron counted 9 fires and Listo 3. They depended on the Bailliage of Ossau.Paul Raymond note that this village formed with Listo a Ruffe-baronnie since 1615, vassal of the Viscount of Béarn. To note that since 1538, the lord of these communes allots the title of prumer rufabaron .
