Loutzviller

Loutzviller (in German Lutsweiler ) is a common French, located in the department of the the Moselle and the area Lorraine. The Village belongs to the Regional natural park of the Vosges of North.

Geography

Located on the plate, in country discovered, the village of Loutzviller is with the variation of the Route of Bitche to Deux-Ponts. It is made of two street S parallels and the church rises on its southernmost edge.

History

This very old locality is quoted in the life of Saint Pirmin, died in 753, the founder of the Abbaye of Hornbach, to which it probably belonged in the form Locvillare , of the Germanic name of man Ludo and of the substantive weyler , villare , the village. Entered the Lord IE of Bitche, it passed under the patronage of the abbey Holy-Cross of Bouzonville in 1115.

From the point of view of spiritual, Loutzviller, with its branches of Breidenbach, Rolbing and Schweyen, is a very old Paroisse of the archpriest of Hornbach, last in that of Volmunster in 1802. The Protestant reform is introduced there into the last decades of the 16th century by Maguerite d' Haraucourt, widow of Jean de Schwarzenberg, owner of the Fief, but it does not mark the landscape religious.

Administration

From the administrative point of view, the village belongs to transitory the canton of Breidenbach of 1790 with 1802 then of that of Volmunster.

Demography

The Population, which counted only 195 inhabitants in 1817, fell down to a nearby figure in 1982 with 168 inhabitants, after having culminated with 668 inhabitants in 1844 by including/understanding that of Schweyen.
