Jacques de Loustal , known as Loustal , born the April 10th 1956 with Neuilly-sur-Seine, is an author of Cartoon and a illustrator French

He studies architecture while taking part in the fanzine Cyclone , published by the college of Sevres. In 1977, it diffuses its first illustrations in Rock & Folk and carries out its first album with Tito Topin. With Philippe Paringaux, he writes several accounts for Métal Howling. He takes part in many leading adventures of the time: Knack, Nitro, Zulu. Its easily identifiable drawing installs strong atmospheres with apparently rudimentary means which in particular call upon stereotypes resulting from the cinema.
