Louise-Hippolyte of Monaco
Louise-Hippolyte Grimaldi , princess sovereign of Monaco, was born on November 10th, 1697 and died on December 29th, 1731 in Monaco. She was the girl of the prince Antoine II of Monaco and Marie of Lorraine.
Princess heiress
Not having a brother, it is with it that échut the throne Monegasque. His/her father decided, in agreement with Louis XIV, that her husband-to-be should adopt the name of the Grimaldi and could reign jointly with the princess his wife.

Destiny of a woman
The marriage was very unhappy because the husband preferred food with Versailles and to multiply the inaccuracies. He was not concerned absolutely with his wife, isolated in Monaco. However Louise-Hippolyte was very in love with her husband, as testify some to many letters preserved today. She died at age the 34 years and her husband was made establish under the name of Jacques Ier of Monaco before abdicating later in favor of his son two years.
