Louis of Blois
Louis of Blois (1172 † 1205), were count de Blois, of Chartres, of Châteaudun and of Clermont of 1191 with 1205. It was wire of Thibaut V, count de Blois, of Châteaudun and Chartres, and Alix of France.
It starts by being combined with Richard Lion-hearted to fight Philippe Auguste. June 7th, 1196, it signed a Charter, which engaged the abolition of serfdom in its counties. It decides to take the cross in 1191, engages in 1202 in the Fourth crusade which takes Byzance in 1204. It then receives the title of duke of Nicée, titrates which remained theoretical because the crusaders failed to take the city which became the capital of a Greek empire. April 14th, 1205, the new emperor of Constantinople Baudouin Ier fought battle close to Andrinople. It was a severe defeat, where Louis of Blois was killed.
He had married Catherine, countess of Clermont, girl of Raoul {{Ier}} the Russet-red, count de Clermont, and of Alix de Breteuil, and had:
