Louis de Nassau

Louis de Nassau (January 10th, 1538 - April 14th, 1574) was the troisème wire of William de Nassau and Juliana de Stolberg and the young brother of the prince Guillaume Ier of Orange-Nassau. Louis was a key character of the revolt of the Netherlands against the crown of Spain and was, contrary to his brother Guillaume, a convinced calvinist. In 1569, Guillaume appointed it governor of the principality of Orange. He was killed in 1574 with the Bataille of Mook with his brother Henry.
