Louis Sclavis

Louis Sclavis is a Clarinettiste and Saxophoniste of Jazz French born the February 2nd 1953 with Lyon.

It begins the study of the Clarinette to old 9 years before joining the Conservatoire of Lyon.
It occurs since 1975 with the Workshop of Lyon, plays in various formations of ARFI (Association in the Search of an Imaginary Folklore, founded in 1977 in Lyon) and meets Michel Portal, Bernard Lubat, plays then with the Brotherhood off Breath of Chris McGregor and the four-bit byte of Henri Texier.
It records then under its name and occurs in the principal French festivals and étrangers.
It is, moreover, the saxophonist of Steve Waring.

The Price Django Reinhardt decreed with the " better musician of jazz français" he is allotted in 1988.

In 1989, It obtains with its four-bit byte the first price of Biennial of Barcelona decreed with the best Européen creator then receives with the Midem British Jazz Award 90/91 of the best foreign artist.

The " obtains; Django d' Or 93" allotted to the best disc of French Jazz of the year.
