Louis Salou

Louis Salou , of his true name Louis Goulven (1902 - 1948), is a Acteur French. He was born with Quimper (southern Finistere, called “Cornwall”) though of origin of Finistere north (called “the Leon”), like its name and its pseudonym indicate it. Before launching out in the theater, he worked at the Post office.

Come from the troop of Pitoëff, it imposed a succession of characters who remained in the memory of the film enthusiasts: the Count de Montray of the Children of the paradise , the Prussian officer of Ball of Tallow , Ernest IV of Chartreuse of Parma and moving it pawn by the bed of roses . It is always remarkable there: particular diction, thin silhouette of notable, studied gestures. Its confrontation with Marcel Herrand in the Children of the Paradise is the scene which immortalisé it. It found death in 1948 prematurely, while committing suicide.
