Louis Roller
Louis Gallet , born with Valence the February 14th 1835, died with Paris the October 16th 1898 is a French Librettiste and dramatic author. He also wrote novels and poésies.
Biography
After professional beginnings in Valence as corrector of printing works, it publishes in 1857 Gioventù , a collection of worms, and settles in Paris where it begins a career in the Public assistance (he is director from the Lariboisière hospital for a long time in Paris), while writing novels, drama and poetries, but especially of the lyric booklets of operas and other works. He collaborates with great names of the music, such as Camille Saint-Saëns, Georges Bizet, Jules Massenet and Charles Gounod. In 1868, it obtains the price of the ministry for the Art schools for the booklet the cut of the king de Thulé .
