Louis Pevernagie

Louis Pevernagie (1904-1970) was a Belgian artist-painter.

It was the father of Erik Pevernagie. It exposed with the expressionnists Gust Desmet, Hubert Malfait, Albert Saverijs and Maurice Schelck. It is characterized by an intense heat and hot tonalities. One can recognize qualities of paste and composition to the leaders of Laethem-Saint-Martin. After war 40-44 it turns to the abstraction with a painting of matter and compositions with let us tons vibrating.
