Louis Krebs was born the May 11th 1886. His/her father Arthur Krebs takes part in the invention of the Sous-marin Gymnote in 1888.

At the end of the First World War, it assembles a concession Panhard to Paris. There will remain 10 years there.

In 1931, it buys the company Roy Frères , a building site naval with Concarneau. This building site becomes the Chantier Krebs.

He will be also mayor of Lanriec.

At the beginning of the Second world war, Louis Krebs is captain of reserve. He is thus pointed out. During a few months it orders a company of the train. After the armistice, it is demobilized.

Marie Krebs-Chamming' S, her daughter and author of the book " I chose the storm " , Price Truth 1964, testifies:

" It has a very active role in the resistance to the beginning of the war while being in connection with Alex , the agent of the network Notre-Dame Castille of Colonel Rémy for the clandestine departures in England by boat, going until making hiding-places in two tuna boats, and providing all the information which it can obtain. And it replaces Doctor Nicolas with the head of Release-North in Concarneau, when this one is shot by the Germans, becoming Mr Charles .

With professor Legendre, it discusses inlassablement with the Otto Captain, ordering place, to save lives and to avoid destruction which could have been catastrophic; occupying themselves without slackening of the populations, in particular of those of Lanriec and Douric-rear-Zin, and remaining in connection with Quimper.

It had to play a big role in all the area after the release, which it did not know, having been killed at his place by a ball of light machine gun directed on its house, the morning when the Germans left by sea for Lorient on August 24th, 1944 . "
