Louis Janmot

Louis Janmot (1814 - 1892) is a painter Lyons. It with a romantic and realistic style.

It is known in particular as a disciple of Ingres.

One can find today some of his works to the Musée of the Art schools of Lyon.

Its major work is the Poem of the heart , together made of 18 tables of 1835-1855. A long poem composed by Janmot itself is used as argument with the tables.
