Louis J. Ignarro
Louis J. Ignarro is an American pharmacologist, born in 1941 with Brooklyn (New York). It carried out studies of pharmacy to the Université Columbia and of pharmacology with Los Angeles. It is titular of a Doctorate in pharmacology of the Université of Minnesota (1966). He was professor with La Nouvelle-Orléans, then in Los Angeles (Department of Molecular and Medical Pharmacology of the UCLA School off Medicine). With Robert Furchgott and Ferid Murad, he discovers that the Oxyde nitric, formed in the cell of the organization, crosses the membranes and orders the operation of other cells.
