Louis IX of Hesse-Darmstadt

Louis IX of Hesse , (in German Ludwig IX von Hessen-Darmstadt), born the December 15th 1719 with Darmstadt, dead the April 6th 1790 with Pirmasens (in the Rhineland-Palatinat).

It was Landgrave of Hesse-Darmstadt of 1768 with 1790.

Biography

Louis IX of Hesse-Darmstadt founded the town of Pirmasens. He had weak for the army just like Frederic-Guillaume Ier of Prussia, the King soldier , he spent enormously to maintain his garrison Pirmasens.

Louis IX of Hesse-Darmstadt belonged to the branch of Hesse-Darmstadt, this second branch is resulting from the first branch of the Maison of Hesse, itself resulting from the first branch of the House of the Brabant.
